Google has decided to retire the “hosted domains” product that they have via the Google AdSense system. According to an email directly in the Google AdSense group, they have evaluated the advantages of their partner network and decided to retire the Hosted Domains system with Google AdSense. This program shutting down is various than the Google AdSense for Domains system, though.
Within the long term, undeveloped domain names will only be served through their current Google AdSense for Domains distribution network. I personally don’t recall getting any of my parked domain names using this system, but apparently I’ve 4 domain names that use or used this program.
Right here is much more information from Google:
Following evaluating the benefits of our partner network, we’ve decided to retire the Hosted domains product within AdSense. Going forward, undeveloped domains will only be served via our current AdSense for domains distribution network.
If you have hosted domains in your AdSense account, they will be impacted by this upcoming alter, that will follow the routine below:
February 22: AdSense publishers can no longer start using the Hosted domains product.
March 21: You’ll no longer have the ability to produce new hosted domains.
April 18: Hosted domains will become inactive and it will no longer be feasible to earn from them.
June 27: Hosted domains will no longer be available in AdSense accounts.
How you can carry on monetizing
To continue monetizing your undeveloped domains, you’ll need to migrate your domain portfolio to a new domain parking provider of one’s choice. Domain parking companies specialize in monetizing undeveloped domains, offer competitive rates, and will help you migrate your domain portfolio. To get began, follow the steps in our guide to migrating your hosted domains.
To determine whether or not you’ll be impacted by this alter, click Hosted domains below “Domains” on the My advertisements tab of one’s AdSense account.
The hosted domains listed right here will all be impacted by this change regardless of status, and can ultimately stop earning income in your AdSense account. Details on upcoming changes to Hosted domains:
